Stripes-Trend of the month link-up!

Whew!  I have been on a bit of a break due to the crazy holidays and the revolving door at our house.  We have had guests in and out from the beginning of December until after New Years.  We were lucky to have my best friend Jess and her son visit from Florida.  Followed by my husbands roommie from college, his 5 kids and his sweet wife from Texas.  I felt only a little bad that they came during the 13 inch snow storm!  At least they got to enjoy some sledding.  It was a fantastic holiday spent with family and friends and well worth the stress and grocery bills!  After New Years, it was back to 80 degree weather for them and 1 degree weather for us.

I have on my Gap Sweater, my new Sperrys that were a Christmas present and my mustache necklace.  Not real dressy, but I work from home and it was freaking cold outside!  I didn't even leave the house to visit Starbucks.  Crazy, I know.  I'm positive that they missed me!

As an added bonus today only, I have added a second trend of the month look.  I'm wearing An Old Navy stripe T, SO green blazer from Kohls, Silver Brand jeans, Fossil Watch (Christmas Present), Forever21 necklace (from Santa) and my Mossimo navy cap toe heels from Target.

I do love stripes and I feel that I do not have nearly enough in my wardrobe.  I can say that for certain as I now have an app for that.    I downloaded the app to assist with my New Years resolution to utilize my closet more and spend less on clothes that I do not need or already have and don't realize it.  The app is called Stylebook and is totally worth the $3.99 price tag!  I have already uploaded most of my closet.  I still have to upload my shoes and jewelry.  That is going to take a while.  I have moved from a jeans addiction to a shoe addiction.  OK, who am I kidding.  I have always had a shoe addiction!  Here is a look at how i created the above outfit form my "closet" on the app.

Even Boy had to get in on the challenge today!  He is sporting a Tony Hawk stripe T, AE 77Kids jeans and Nike shoes.  He would rather be wearing his Osiris hightops but they are currently covered in mud and I'm not cleaning them!  Trying to teach him a lesson on taking care of his things.

I will try to catch you all up on the happenings in the house in the next couple of days.  This will contain my resolutions, new skills and BIG changes coming to the blog.  I'm talking BIG!
